IEEE 802.3 EFM (GE-PON and Point-to-Point) Optical Network Terminals
Wave7 Optics’ extensive ONT portfolio includes models that comply with the IEEE 802.3 EFM standard. Basic models offer only a single 10/100/1000 BASE-T Ethernet interface for IP-based services support. Triple-play ONTs offer the full spectrum of subscriber services, including telephony (POTS and IP), data (10/100/1000BASE-T), video (IP and RF), and a patented integrated RF return capability.
Wave7 Optics' ONTs include the following advanced features beyond the IEEE 802.3 EFM standard:
- 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)
- Port-based rate control and shaping
- IEEE 802.1x port-based network access control for MAC-based authentication

ITU-T G.984 Optical Network Terminals (GPON)
