Trident7™ Optical Access Platform
As the FTTP market has matured, three fiber access technologies have emerged: IEEE 802.3 GE-PON (EFM PON), IEEE 802.3 Point-to-Point, and ITU G.984 GPON. While no single standard is universally dominant, each standard has drawn significant interest from network operators in different geographic areas and market segments. The majority of fiber access equipment vendors are promoting one standard, forcing network operators to choose a single technology and risk premature obsolescence.
Wave7 Optics’ Trident7™ Universal Access Platform affords network operators the most options by providing support of all three standards from a common platform.
